This pic was inspired by a number of things, mainly by two lines from "My Immortal" by Evanescence, cause they just seemed to fit my character Mannen and his feelings really well.
"But though you're still with me, I've been alone all along." I'm not really gonna elaborate more then that. There will be a few of you who will know (hopefully) what feelings those are. The rest of you, you can draw your own conclusions. Since I have nothing better to do while soaking in the bath then listen to music (obviously Evanescence CD) and study the way my candles shine on the walls n' the water, I decided I needed to do a bath pic. It just seemed like a good place for Mannen to sort of break down and be sure the he wouldn't be disturbed. So ya, I think that made some sort of sense... on to the techincal stuff. Drawn in paintchat (v3.2 or something like that). I used a photoreference [link] for the pose and the lighting on his body, which I thought was cool that it just happened to go with what I wanted. Coloured mostly in Painter Classic with the watercolour tool, a few places the soft pastel tool. The water was added in Adobe, as well as some touch ups to the colouring, etc. p.s. this deviation number is significant for Mannen. The number being 223, which happens to be his birthday (and mine. yep, i let him share my birthday. cause i love him |

And yeah...If you've ever had anything to do with death in your life, Evanescence is the bane of one's existence. Gets me everytime. This pic shows how that can be far too well.
